Catherine Kim Poon

Catherine Kim Poon is an aspiring actress in the United States of America, hoping to go Hollywood. Catherine Kim Poon currently lives in California. She hopes to one day be able to work with some of the biggest stars in Hollywood. She knows that it is very competitive to be an actress in the United States, because of the appearance of her Asian ethnicity. Because of her great passion for acting, she hopes that her acting talent will be realized far more than the selection of her ethnicity. Regardless, she still continues to pursue acting and struggles for acting jobs. She has enjoyed acting ever since she was a child. She has participated in her high school's play and has taken continuous acting classes while attending San Francisco State University. While growing up in the San Francisco bay area, she has been auditioning for different projects, doing extra work for television shows and commercials. She loves the art of acting and how it provides the ability to portray a character role so extravagantly. She really enjoys acting and the feeling of being another character no matter how chaotic the character is. Playing another character gives her a thrill of being in another state of mind and feeling. She loves acting on television and film. She hopes that one day someone will call her to offer her the opportunity to act with some of the biggest stars in Hollywood.

Her trademarks are: her unique and expressive facial expressions on camera, her strong on-camera presence, her variety of acting experience and roles, her willingness to play difficult and wide-ranging parts, her natural true asian eyes feature, without the common asian trend to have surgical double-lid, her natural hair color and looks, and she looks uniquely different than the other asians.

She is an Americanized Canadian. She was born on November 27th in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. She came to California at the age of four. She grew up in the suburb of Hillsborough, which is located within the San Francisco bay area. Her specific ethnicity is not commented, since people tend to guess it incorrectly, and race should not be an issue. She has also taken language classes in the following : Chinese, Japanese, Spanish, English, and French. She can also do accents in the following: British an English accents. As a child, Catherine enjoyed taking acting classes and singing.

From pre-school to junior high, she attended a school called Highlands Christian School in San Bruno, California. Later, she attended Mills High School in Millbrae, California, and attended San Francisco State University.

She is currently studying acting and auditioning for various acting projects in the meantime. She really enjoys studying acting and martial arts. She also has been studying martial art for quite some time and hopes to one day use her martial arts in a film production along with her acting skills. She enjoys traveling to Las Vegas, going on Cruise Ships in the Caribbean Islands, singing Karaoke, dancing, watching movies, and hanging out with her friends. Ever since she was a child, her favorite music artist has always been Madonna. She really loves to sing Madonna songs at the karaoke.

She also loves to attend Entertainment Events in which she can see celebrities appear on stage in person. She also loves to attend events in which directors and crew members are awarded for their film making achievements. She really loves all the talent behind film making and how everything is put together to deliver such an extraordinary piece of work. She loves to attend movie premieres since she loves movies so much. At home, she keeps a collection of her favorite movies in the living room. She also uses these films to study the various characters portrayed. She studies the films that also has actors who have been nominated for Academy Awards. She enjoys learning from those who have succeeded.
